About the role
This position is a permanent, full-time position based at the Moruya Depot. This role will be primarily responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the Water and Sewer network.Your main duties will include:
- Conducting electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs in Water and Sewer infrastructure and providing technical advice, as necessary to relevant staff.
- Service and maintain Water and Sewer instrumentation and control systems.
- Building/modifying or installing Switch and Control Gear Assemblies and Motor Control Centres.
- Maintain all relevant documentation.
About you
Our team needs a qualified electrical technician with experience in Water and Sewer services. The successful applicant will be self-motivated and able to organise resources and materials for continued operation of the network. If you hold the required qualifications, can work well in a team and communicate clearly, you’ll be a standout! Your application should further demonstrate the following:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent qualification (a relevant Cert IV will be an advantage).
- Ability to install, maintain and upgrade electrical, control and communication systems.
- Capable of operating a range of computer applications and industrial systems.
Salary Information
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $3,154.88 to $3,749.83 gross per fortnight comprising:
- $2,791.65 to $3,325.24 base salary
- $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions allowance
- $325.39 to $386.75 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
A fully maintained Council vehicle for to/from home use is also available!
When required by Council, participation in an on-call roster is part of this position. An allowance is paid when on call.
An offer of employment for this position is also subject to medical clearance to verify you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
