Based at the City’s Works Depot in Crocker Street, Rockingham you are responsible for undertaking the maintenance of the City’s natural areas and conservation reserves. Other duties will include updating natural area maintenance schedules, ensuring that natural areas are maintained to a high standard and in a safe clean condition and provide technical advice to other teams.
You possess excellent communication and time management skills, and have had supervisory roles in the past along with hands-on experience in Conservation and Land Management.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Detail your experience in supervising and giving direction to internal staff and contractors.
- Detail your level of knowledge of native fauna and flora.
- Detail your level of knowledge of workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
- Detail your level of knowledge of small plant maintenance pertaining to natural area maintenance.
- Detail your experience in natural area maintenance including weed identification and undertaking appropriate chemical and manual control measures.
- Provide a copy of your Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, or detail your equivalent field experience in environmental science or natural area management.
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
We are offering a weekly wage of $1,424 (gross) which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as
- 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
