About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and well-organised Executive Assistant to support the Director Community & Customer Experience at Woollahra Council on a permanent full-time basis. 

As an Executive Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a range of support and administrative duties for the Director and wider Community & Customer Experience division. 

This is a flexible role in that no two days are ever the same. Tasks will include answering enquiries, maintaining the Director’s diary, proofreading, researching, hosting internal staff meetings and events, including preparation of agendas and minutes, establishing efficient administrative systems, website updates, project support and contributing to the teams as appropriate. Areas of support include Marketing the Gallery, Community and Culture, Customer Experience and Woollahra Libraries and as instructed by the Director. 

About you

We are looking to engage an experienced professional with strong organisational and time management skills and a commitment to providing superior customer service. You will be a high a achiever with:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative and executive support in a complex and fast paced environment.
  • Relevant business certificate and/or an equivalent level of professional competence in office management, business administration or related discipline and/or alternative relevant qualification.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated use of initiative and ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Able to adapt to a changing environment and to undertake different tasks each day.
  • An understanding of the business of Community and Customer Experience Services and the appropriate mindset and approach.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, ethical behaviour and commitment to maintain confidentiality.
  • Clearance to work with children as required under the Working with Children Check.
