About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join Murray River Council to work for the community and be part of an inclusive and supportive organisation that values their employees.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Services Coordinator to provide high-level executive and administrative support and ensure the effective coordination of the Executive Administration function.

This role is crucial in streamlining processes, enhancing communication, and delivering efficient services to the CEO, Mayor, Councilors, Directors, and the wider organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of the Executive Administration function, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Act as a liaison between the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, and Directors.
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing correspondence.
  • Lead special projects, develop workflows, and enhance the efficiency of executive administrative functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues and ensure effective internal and external communication.
  • Coordinate and assist in the planning and execution of executive-level functions and civic events.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

This position would suit an experienced professional with outstanding personal integrity as well as strong interpersonal, communication and administration skills who has good initiative and is a confident problem solver. To succeed in this role, you will also need:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Technology One software system.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, the ability to build relationships across levels, and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Good Understanding of executive support role in Local Government environment

 

The successful candidate will require the following:

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • NSW Working with Children’s Check
  • National Police Check
  • Pre-employment Medical
  • Australian citizenship or residency
