The opportunity:
As a HR Waste Truck Driver in the City of Perth, you will:
- Operate and drive a waste collection truck and compactor that has three axles.
- Empty refuse and recycling bins, as well as street litter bins.
- Handle cleaning equipment including road and footpath sweepers, hand blowers, and high-pressure cleaning equipment.
- Ensure safe and compliant work practices in accordance with Western Australian Work Health and Safety legislation, as well as the City’s safe systems of work.

About you

Essential Criteria:
- Valid drivers licence (HR/MR)
- Experience in similar roles
- Ability to perform physical tasks
- Police clearance or willing to obtain
About the team:
The Operations Unit is responsible for the management and maintenance of the City’s parks, environments, fleet, street, and waste services. The HR Waste Truck Driver role undertakes refuse removal services and street cleaning that complies with the City’s specified work standards. These services are provided to both residential and commercial customers, through dayshift and nightshift arrangements.
Equally important to handling a heavy rigid waste truck, is an ability to operate as part of a team and provide high-quality customer service to residents, and members of the public, including tourists, shopkeepers, and visitors.
