Salary: $96,481.38 - $105,718.93 + Super

ABOUT THE ROLE

Liverpool City Council is looking for their new Facilities Contracts Officer, where you will play a vital role in mitigating risks, fostering vendor relationships, and maximising value for the organisation. The right candidate will be a positive, can do, switched on, committed, hardworking procurement professional with extensive experience and have great communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The Facilities Contracts Officer role is responsible for assisting with the effective development, documentation, and implementation of building services contracts. This person will work alongside the Coordinator in leading contract management for the Operations Directorate, so it’s vital they have end-to-end procurement experience along with demonstrated skills in contract life-cycle management. You will work closely with the Procurement Team and internal stakeholders across the Council, as well as with contractors and external stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring contractor performance and contract compliance through but not limited to:

  • Implement effective contract administration practices, including contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as procurement and legal to evaluate vendor performance and resolve contractual issues.
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions and service level agreements to achieve optimal outcomes for the organisation.
  • Extracting meaningful contract data insights to maximise value for money and ensure good governance.
  • Provide guidance and support and sound advice to internal stakeholders regarding contract management best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, such as non-compliance, data security, intellectual property, and confidentiality issues.
  • Delivering quality, transparent processes and systems that oversees the lifecycle of contracts from award to renewal to completion.

ABOUT YOU

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:

  • Appropriate qualifications relevant to purchasing or contract related certification or similar from a University, TAFE, recognised industry body and/or equivalent.
  • Professional experience and exposure to assets/facilities management/community and commercial agreements and demonstrated capability to undertake assigned responsibilities. Minimum 5 years of relevant work or similar
  • At least four (4) years minimum experience public facing position, multifaceted environment with extensive experiences in implementation of contracts, license agreements.
  • Demonstrated exposure to a diversified business area with budgets and targets that are required to be met.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
