Title: Facilities Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $89907.72 to $104487.69 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Property, Buildings, and Beach Services Business Unit is responsible for the management of Northern Beaches Council’s extensive property portfolio, as well as the delivery of lifeguarding and beach safety services along our stunning coastline. This unit encompasses a wide range of services including Building Assets, Facilities Management, Property Management & Commercial, and Beach Services. Our aim is to ensure the effective and sustainable use of Council’s assets, providing high-quality facilities and safe, enjoyable beach experiences for our community.

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of this role include:

  1. Manage all operational and technical aspects of facilities management for both preventative and reactive maintenance, including the issuing and management of work orders.
  2. Procurement and contract management including preparation of technical specifications and define scope of works for preparation of tender documents.
  3. Closely manage external service providers on day to day delivery of asset and facilities management services to meet performance objectives through effective communication, negotiation and issues management.
  4. Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders that promote timely and customer focused solutions.
