The Opportunity

As a Festival Support Officer in the City of Perth, you will provide support for the planning, coordination and delivery of the City of Perth's community focussed heritage event - the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival. In 2024 the Festival attracted more than 90,000 visitors with more than 100 unique events delivered across the City's six neighbourhoods. This role will work collaboratively and support internal teams and Festival stakeholders to build on the success of this year's Festival to deliver a new program of diverse and engaging events for 2025.

Reporting to the Project Officer within our City Culture team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

  • Provide assistance and support for the planning, development and delivery of the City's Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival;
  • Assist with the development of Festival promotional content and collateral, in collaboration with the City’s culture, marketing and communications teams;
  • Undertake a range of administrative and support tasks associated with the Festival, including event registrations, collection of event details and information, database entry, ticketing and supplier invoicing and payments; and
  • Prepare and deliver logistical requirements, including venue bookings, signage, marketing materials and others as directed.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in festival or event support, administration, coordination or similar;
  • Strong administrative and computer skills, including use of the microsoft office suite, databases and/or ticketing systems;
  • Good communication skills, including ability to present and communicate information verbally and in a variety of written formats; and
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as required over the Festival delivery period.

Eligibility

To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers licence; and
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
