Georges River Council has an exciting role for a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance Business Unit Team, based in Hurstville.
About The Role
As the Finance Business Partner, you will report in directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and will work to deliver quality organisational support services to both internal and external customers, enabling effective forward planning and delivering on Council’s strategic initiatives.
What We Offer
- One Permanent, full-time role - 70 hours per fortnight.
- Salary from $102,222 - $118,439 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate.

About you
- A Degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce.
- Experience in financial/management accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to function with minimal supervision and to achieve operational and strategic objectives, and individual and team performance requirements, through the establishment and management of priorities and timeframes.
- Excellent skills in the development of financial reporting and commentary of results, including the ability to prepare accurate reports that convey financial information in appropriate and understandable language, tone and format for the relevant audience.
- Proven experience in strong commitment to customer service and ability to interact with all levels in the organisation structure including outstanding verbal and written communication.
Highly Regarded Attributes
- Knowledge of the Integrated Planning and Reporting and Council reporting requirements relevant to Finance.
- CPA qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting.
