About the role
The role of Finance Graduate is responsible for assisting in the delivery of financial reconciliations, financial returns, journals and job costings, taxation accounting, regulatory reporting, investments and month-end processing.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree qualification in Accounting combined with ongoing professional development;
- Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency with ability to collect, analyse and utilise financial systems and data with a particular focus on Excel;
- Ability to develop knowledge and an understanding of the legislative and reporting framework for Local Government which includes but is not limited to Australian Accounting Standards, Local Government Act 1993, Local Government (General) Regulation 2005, Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting, OLG Guidelines and Ministers Orders and Circulars;
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple tasks, demonstrating superior organisational and time management skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to exercise initiative and self-motivation and to build relationships and promote a positive, collaborative work environment to achieve organisational outcomes;
- Ability to assess and interpret information to formulate recommendations and provide advice to enable the organisation to achieve quality outcomes.

Other important information
- The salary range for this position ranges between $72k to $86k pa (dependent on skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation
- permanent full-time
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
