Council is seeking a Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable who will be responsible for maintaining Council’s sundry debtor accounts and accounts receivable, including preparing and processing information to raise and issue sundry debtor invoices, water rates and usage notices.
You will be responsible for:
- Organising and maintain debtor accounts, including creating new debtor accounts, obtaining completed credit application forms and undertaking ABN searches.
- Raise regular charges and leases to debtors.
- Liaise with debtors to arrange for timely payment of accounts within stipulated periods and monitor debtor accounts to ensure compliance with payment arrangements.
- Maintain debtors’ direct debit authorities and process debtors’ change of names, addresses, email addresses in Council’s master files, including preparing and issuing correspondence to debtors to confirm the change completed.
- Assess and determine debt amounts and perform accounts receivable write-offs, payment reversals and overpayment refunds as approved by Management Accountant.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
We offer a salary range of $60,080 - $76,908 gross per annum plus superannuation. The starting salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the position.
