Finance Support Officer

We are seeking a suitably experienced individual to join our Financial Services team as Finance Support Officer in a Permanent Full-Time capacity.

As the Finance Support Officer you will ensure that Council:

• Has efficient administration to ensure Council can timely process the required financial tasks and functions in accordance with regulations, policy and procedures applicable at the time,
• Provides a range of finance activities relating to Council operations, ensuring all financial records are accurately entered and maintained,
• Provides overall general operational support to the operation of the Financial Services Unit, particularly in providing back up support to the Accounts Receivable and Payroll Officer positions.

• Plant & Fleet Management

About You:

To support your success in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated experience and/or general understanding of accounting and finance concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of finance system software.
• Proven ability to apply standard procedures, practices, Acts and Regulations.
• Well-developed skills in using the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Highly developed customer service skills.

Salary information: $67,226.64 to $70,836.48 per annum plus superannuation
