Description

The Financial Operations Accountant oversees day-to-day finance operations, including rates, revenue, payroll, procurement, creditors, and water billing, while supervising finance staff across multiple locations. The role provides expert guidance on complex financial matters, ensures compliance with reporting, taxation, and grant requirements, and develops financial policies and procedures.

In addition, the position manages treasury functions, oversees grant financial management and provides support to the financial reporting and budget management functions.

The position can be based in either of our Darlington Point or Jerilderie Office in NSW.

You will be a high achiever with:

 

  • Full membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) or CPA Australia, or comparable experience (Candidates who hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline and who are eligible and willing to commence one of these programs are also invited to apply)
  • Class C driver licence and willingness to travel
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card) – can be obtained upon appointment
  • Manual Handling Training – can be obtained upon appointment
