About the roles
You may have noticed several open recruitment positions – and there’s a great reason for it! We’ve just completed an exciting restructure within our Leisureplex facilities, leading to well-deserved internal promotions and the creation of new roles.
We are currently seeking two enthusiastic, creative and experienced Fitness Officers to join our Leisure Team to help us deliver high-quality fitness services to our community! As a Fitness Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting fitness operations at Cannington and Riverton Leisureplex. Apply today!
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing fitness programs, group fitness classes and personal training services.
- Supervising and supporting group fitness and gym instructors.
- Managing member engagement, customer service, and conflict resolution.
- Ensuring fitness equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Developing health and wellness initiatives to increase community participation.
- Handling administrative duties, including rostering, reporting and compliance.
- Assisting with marketing and promotions across social media, eNewsletters and community campaigns.
- Driving customer engagement by enhancing retention, visitation and revenue.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service and public relations.
- Ensuring safety, compliance and operational efficiency across programs.
About you:
- Cert III in Fitness (minimum requirement).
- Previous experience in the Leisure, Sports or Recreation Industry.
- Strong leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge in using TechnoGym, MyWellness and/or Envibe booking systems or similar software.
- Skilled in conflict resolution, problem-solving and time management.
- Able to work flexible hours across both Leisureplex locations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
- Previous experience working with all ability groups.
- First Aid Certificate and Driver’s Licence.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Experience in Les Mills programs or an AUSactive Registration would be highly regarded.
