The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Management Coordinator to join our dynamic operations team in Corowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with all relevant regulations.
In this role you will:
- prepare and implement a 10-year replacement program
- calculate and report on utilisation
- calculate whole of life costs, prepare buy/hire business case reports
- manage acquisition and disposal processes
- manage the mechanical maintenance of the fleet (in-house and outsourcing)
- ensure regulatory compliance of the fleet such as Chain of Responsibility, Work Health and Safety and National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
Criteria
- Hold a recognised qualification in fleet management or substantial industry experience.
- Hold a General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) and a current and valid light vehicle licence.
- Demonstrated experience in tendering and procurement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of software packages at an advanced level, with particular proficiency in MS Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS practices and ability to participate in a safe working environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities as well as plan and organise work for both self and team to achieve set objectives in the most efficient way possible within the available resources and timeframe.
- Proven good oral and written communication skills with an ability to provide clear direction to staff and deal effectively with staff, contractors and members of the public.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary is commencing at $1,622.50 per week with progression up to $1,791.00 per week dependent upon skills and experience.
