As a Garbage Collection Operator, you'll be working with the Garbage Collection team to provide beneficial and cost efficient garbage and recycling collection services in the Local Government area of Dubbo Regional CouncilEnjoy the flexibility and freedom of this short term casual position, gaining valuable Local Government experience, while servicing your local community.

You'll work with a great team to:

  • Complete allocated waste collection runs
  • Undertake
    plant maintenance as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Carry out works in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
  • Follow Council policies and procedures


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Class HR Drivers Licence with the ability to drive haulage trucks
  • Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the job
  • General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and customer service
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in waste collection operations

We would also love you to have:

  • Knowledge of Dubbo Regional Council geography
  • RMS
    Traffic control tickets

This position offers an attractive hourly rate ranging from $33.17 to $38.55.
