This dynamic role offers the opportunity to leverage your strong administrative and organisational skills, while providing ample opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and adaptable environment. As a key member of the team in the Office of the General Manager, you will play an essential role in driving operations forward. Additionally, this position offers the chance to step up as the relieving Executive Assistant to the Mayor and General Manager, further expanding your skill set and leadership experience.
The Governance Officer is responsible for:
- Providing high level support to the Executive Team and Councillors to ensure that efficient and effective services are delivered
- Deliver administrative support to the Coordinator Governance & Executive Services, Manager Strategy & Performance;
- Support in the production, coordination and communication of Council’s Integrated Planning & Reporting suite of documents, various procedure manuals, policies and policy reviews, meeting agendas and minutes; and
- Extensive liaison with a range of staff across the Directorate and organisation.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Salary range: Grade 11 - $68,369.58 - $73,984.00 per annum including superannuation for a 35-hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
