We are seeking an experienced and professional Governance Officer with a passion for detail. In this role you will have the following accountabilities:

• Maintaining statutory and compliance governance documents and registers
• Providing governance inductions to new starters
• Leading the annual review of the Shire's Register of Delegations and Authorisations
• Leading the completion of the Compliance Audit Return
• Facilitating the review of policies and procedures
• Providing assistance preparing Council and Committee meeting agendas and minutes as required

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Experience within an administrative role,
• Strong attention to detail,
• Ability to prioritise work
• Advanced computer operation skills with demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of relevant and current statutory requirements, Acts and Local laws
