An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Vegetation Works Team. This position provides quality service to the Hill’s Shire community. You must have the ability to work as part of a team to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned maintenance and presentation of council's parks, gardens, reserves, sports grounds and public spaces, by utilising a variety of mowing, cleaning, chemical and maintenance techniques to ensure areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.

What this role looks like:
•    Follow Maintenance Activity Specifications to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned vegetation maintenance within allocated time frames
•    Establishment, maintenance and presentation of garden areas, including streetscape rain gardens
•    Operation of various mowers and a range of mechanised equipment to maintain parks, gardens, nature strips and other similar areas
•    Other duties specified by the supervisor/ manager
•    Undergo planned cleaning and maintenance of laneways
•    Preparation and maintenance of turf in Sportsfields and open spaces.
•    Public Land tree planting.

What we are seeking in our new team member: 
1.    Certificate III in relevant Horticultural field or equivalent industry experience.
2.    White Card - General Construction Induction
3.    Drivers Licence (Class C)
4.    First Aid & CPR Accreditation
5.    Traffic Controller & Implement Traffic Control Plans
6.    Sound knowledge of WH&S policies and procedures
7.    Ability to use mobile communication devices, including mobile phones and iPads.

Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0288 Salary: Up to $70K + Superannuation
