An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Civil Works Team. This position provides quality service to the Hill’s Shire community. You must have the ability to work as part of a team to complete a variety of tasks associated with the planned and reactive civil maintenance. In this position you will drive trucks and carry out manual labouring as required within the Asphalt team.

What this role looks like:
• Carry out tasks associated with the maintenance of Council’s Civil Infrastructure including filling of potholes, road patching, asphalt wedging and other civil related maintenance duties.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Drive a truck and/or trailer combination including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues.
• Carry out manual labour to support teams.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks on time and to a high standard.
• Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects.
• Ensure compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Maintain work vehicles and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.
• Offer timely and safe solutions to identified onsite maintenance/construction problems by applying standards, established practices and procedures and/or operating instructions.
What we are seeking in our new team member: 
1. White Card - General Construction Induction
2. NSW Drivers Licence (Class C) / (Class HR or HC - Desirable)
3. Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent
4. Sound knowledge of WH&S policies and procedures
5. Ability to use mobile communication devices, including mobile phones and iPads.

Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0293 Salary: Up to $70K + Superannuation
