We are looking for our next Horticulturalist/ Greenkeeper to join our recreation crew!

What does the role offer?
- Monday - Friday roster
- $31.51 - $34.92p/hour (inclusive of allowances) + 11.5% super
- 38-hour work week - hours 6:30am - 3:45pm
- Guaranteed 30 minute per day overtime (reviewed annually)
- Permanent, full-time role
What is this role responsible for?
- Working with other team members to provide general gardening and greenkeeping services as programmed (both maintenance and improvements).
- Maintain all Council ovals, parks and gardens to Council standards - line marking, care of surfaces (curating), weed control, turf etc.
- Operate plant and equipment e.g. mower, tractor, whipper snipper etc.
- Install and repair underground drainage, sprinklers and reticulation to maintain the optimum condition of Council's ovals, parks and gardens.
What will you bring?
- Certificate III in Horticulture or related discipline.
- Current industry knowledge and demonstrated experience in general gardening, grounds and turf maintenance, landscaping, and installation of water reticulation systems.
- Proven ability to exercise judgment, think critically, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to team goals.
- Experience in continuous improvement and a willingness to embrace and implement change.
- Proven experience with horticulture plant, equipment, and spraying.
- Current Class MR driver's license.
