About the Role
This is a 3-year traineeship program that combines practical, on-the-job training with structured study through TAFE. Based at the City of Perth Depot in Osborne Park and across the stunning Perth CBD, you’ll contribute to maintaining our city’s landscape assets, including:
• Lush gardens
• Beautiful turf and tree care
• Playgrounds and public infrastructure
You’ll be guided by seasoned horticulturalists, supervisors, and a supportive Parks and Environment team.
What We’re Looking For
If you’re passionate about plants and eager to learn, this could be the start of an incredible career! Ideal candidates will:
• Be enrolled or ready to enrol in a Cert III in Horticulture.
• Have strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for making Perth even greener.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the position, you will need to demonstrate:
- You are an Australian Citizen or New Zealand passport holder;
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months);
- Fitness for work via a pre-employment medical;
- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers’ licence; and
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) or a willingness to obtain one.
