HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER 

  • Part time - 22.8 hours a week to be worked over four days
  • 2 year fixed term contract
  • Salary range $80,766 - $84,892 pro rata
  • Generous superannuation up to 15.25%

About the role:

Working as part of the HR team, the two primary focuses of this role are:

  • To provide recruitment support to the City’s business units; coordinate and participate in recruitment activities in line with City policies and processes, complete employee screening, undertake all associated administration, and assist with on-boarding and new staff inductions.
  • To coordinate training and development activities; oversee training applications, assist in the coordination of in-house training and development initiatives, coordinate the study assistance program, and facilitate and support the traineeship program.

What you need to succeed:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Developing knowledge of human resources practices including recruitment and training processes.
  • Previous experience recruiting across multiple job disciplines.
  • Highly developed administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Developed interpersonal skills including an ability to engage with people at all levels and build strong, trusted working relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
  • Ability to use initiative and contribute to process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritise own workload and achieve objectives.

Applicants are also required to hold a current “C” class driver’s licence, must be able to provide a police clearance no more than 6 months old, and be able to demonstrate their right to work in Australia.
