About the role:
The Records and Information Team is responsible for providing operational support to the organisation in the management of Council’s records management functions, these include but are not limited to, document registration, access and retrieval of corporate information as well as supporting end users in the most optimal use of Council’s Document Management System.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Information Management Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing duties associated with management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, scanning and registration of information into Council’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), access and retrieval of records, mail room duties and supporting a best practice approach to the use of Council’s EDRMS.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Certificate IV in Records Management or demonstrated industry knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of the State Records Act NSW 1998, retention disposal authorities, both functional and general.
- Demonstrated commitment to provide a professional, proactive and quality customer service.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems.
- Experience in facilitating and delivering training to small groups and or individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to workers at all levels across the organisation.
- Fast and accurate data entry keyboard skills with a high level of attention to detail.
