About the opportunity
This is an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a suitably qualified professional to develop and deliver a training program for Blacktown City Council’s Electronic Document Management System and record keeping practices.
Working in a high performing team, an ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting end users in the use of record keeping systems, specifically Content Manager (CM9) and experience in delivering an Electronic Document Management (EDM) training program including record keeping compliance requirements.
The role requires a self-starter who is able to work in a high-volume information management area, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is able to develop, deliver and promote training to staff in person and through e-Learning modules.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Records Management and/or Training and Assessment
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-volume information management area
- Previous training and assessment experience
- Capacity to use the latest software to develop on-line training material and high level of computer literacy
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Records Management business rules, procedures, practices and policy
- Demonstrated experience in the support of end users in the use of recordkeeping systems, specifically Content Manager (CM9)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Capacity to drive, support and implement a Change Management Plan
- Strong customer service focus and experience
- Local government experience in a records management environment.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,566.49 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
