Information Technology (IT) Manager

Roper Gulf Regional Council is in the southeast of the top end of the Northern Territory bounded by the southern Kakadu escarpments, the northern Barkly Tablelands, the Gulf of Carpentaria, and the Queensland border. The Councils area spans 201,000 square kilometres – almost three times the size of Tasmania – making Council’s operational footprint one of the largest in the Northern Territory.

Roper Gulf Regional Council is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Information Technology (IT) Manager. Our IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, and ongoing maintenance of all computer systems, networks, and applications within the Roper Gulf Regional Council, while fostering strong relationships with key third-party partners. This role includes the effective management of third-party agreements and contracts within the business unit. Additionally, the IT Manager is tasked with consistently analyzing and reporting on Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) mapping and design to ensure alignment with business systems and practices. This ongoing analysis supports the integration of emerging technologies, driving continual innovation and the delivery of strategically effective IT solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management
• Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
• Proven experience in the configuration and management of a range of IT systems and processes, inclusive of computers, networking, cloud management and ERP systems
• Familiarity with software platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint
• Ability and demonstrated experience working effectively in remote communities

Remuneration package includes:

• Salary of $ $110,264.53 to $121,366.53 per annum (negotiated based on qualifications and experience).
