Description

We are seeking an Insurance Claims Officer to manage insurance claims made against and on behalf of Council. In this role you will determine claims under specified delegation and coordinate the annual renewal process. Additionally, you will provide essential administrative support to the Local Emergency Management Officer in their role as Chair of the Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) and building asset manager. About the role:

  • Manage all aspects of insurance claims made against and on behalf of Council and process the annual insurance renewal returns.
  • Manage document registration, creation, maintenance, and distribution within the Council’s records system.
  • Investigate and analyse claim matters and present data for determination.

We are seeking:

  • Certificate IV in General Insurance or demonstrated relevant experience in insurance claims management or similar. 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to manage workloads and competing priorities effectively.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
