Working as part of the Parks Services team, you will be responsible for providing day to day direction and support to a team of seven Reticulation Maintainers and relevant contractors. You will ensure irrigation systems are maintained in accordance with standards and groundwater resources are utilised efficiently. 

As well as being a highly effective communicator, you will have extensive experience in working with commercial irrigation systems and have detailed knowledge of bore and pump operation; and maintenance. This role involves working out in the field alongside the team as well as supporting the Irrigation Supervisor with administrative tasks. Therefore you will need to be comfortable and competent with relevant office based duties and computer use. The ability to diagnose system faults independently and be self-motivated is imperative in this role.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Extensive knowledge of the operation and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems
  2. Sound knowledge in controller troubleshooting i.e. identifying faults, malfunctions, etc.
  3. Sound written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communication
  4. Intermediate level of computer literacy skills
  5. Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and practices

 

This position offers a weekly wage of $1,492 (gross) which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
