Position Overview
As an IT Support Cadet, you will serve as a vital customer interface for the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department. Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent IT support services through various channels, including phone, email, chat, and face-to-face interactions. In this role, you will be integral to resolving incidents and fulfilling requests, enhancing the perception of the IM&T capability and professionalism.
Your role will not only involve technical support but also building strong relationships with Council staff and other users, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in IT while making a meaningful impact in your community!

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the field of Information Technology. If you are studying towards your degree and have a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you!
- Currently enrolled in a tertiary qualification in Information Technology (penultimate or final year).
- A demonstrated commitment to completing tertiary qualifications and achieving full professional accreditation in Information Technology.
- Experience in delivering customer-focused services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Windows Desktop OS, SCCM/MECM, and Active Directory.
- ITIL Foundation knowledge is a plus!

- Package: $59,700 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Up to 2 years full time temporary contract. 35 hours per week with option of 19 day flexitime arrangement
