We are looking for an experienced Civil Labourer to join our motivated crew in a permanent capacity.

You will support the team by assisting with concrete formwork construction, undertaking concreting works and other civil labouring duties. You will also use your good communication skills to work effectively as part of the team and with the public.

This position involves undertaking repetitive manual tasks relating to construction and general civil maintenance activities. Applicants should be suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description.

The position is also based on a 9-day fortnight with a regular roster day and may include overtime and weekend work as required.

What you will be doing:

Everyday you will be allocated different jobs depending on the work schedule. A typical day may include:

  • Toolbox talks
  • Assisting in concrete formwork construction
  • Concrete pouring, finishing slabs, footpaths, kerb and gutter
  • Taking direction from the Leading Hand
  • Repair of road surfaces including the use of asphaltic concrete and bitumen
  • Excavating earth or rock to set levels
  • Installing signs of various sizes, which include minor excavation, concreting, using ladders and small power tools.

This is a permanent full-time position. Salary from $67,982 up to $76,076 per annum plus superannuation
(Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualification)
