Cobar is a rural mining community located in western New South Wales, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city living. Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

ABOUT YOU
Our preferred candidate will be hard-working, enthusiastic urban services labourer with a 'can do' attitude, and the physical fitness to undertake the manual tasks required of this role in a safe and efficient manner.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Duties will include the construction and maintenance of irrigation systems, maintenance of town parks, median strips and sporting grounds, grave digging and beautification of the township of Cobar.
This full-time position is classified as Band 1 Level 2 under Council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 38 hours per week.
To be successful in this role you will have a current provisional drivers license (minimum), construction induction (white) card and have previous experience in a general labouring role.
