About the role

We have multiple full-time labouring roles available in our Major Projects Division for the right candidates! Your main duties will include:

  • Doing your part in the completing construction/maintenance works projects.
  • Supporting other staff, contractors and sub-contractors and providing customer service to the public.
  • Doing physical labour and other construction/maintenance manual tasks.

About you

We want team members who enjoy working outdoors, have experience in construction and maintenance environments and knowledge of using plant machinery for concrete works. Your can-do attitude, common sense and ability to work in a team will be a standout! To be the preferred candidate, your application should contain examples of the following:

  • Relevant Certificate III (or willingness to work towards) and relevant experience in construction and maintenance environments.
  • Understanding and experience in plant capabilities and outputs.
  • Willingness to do physical labouring tasks.
  • Good oral, written, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Open to completing recognised training opportunities with Council assistance!

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,593.04 to $2,794.97 gross per fortnight comprising:

  • $2,287.76 to $2,468.86 base salary per fortnight
  • $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions allowance per fortnight
  • $267.44 to $288.27 superannuation per fortnight (calculated at 11.5%)

 

Appointment to this position is subject to medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
