About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Lead, Business Innovation to drive the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies to transform Council’s business operations. As the leader of the Business Innovation team, this role will guide projects that enhance customer experience, support community needs, and foster a cultureof data-driven decision-making.
You can also expect to:
- Identify opportunities for innovation through exploration of emerging technologies, market trends, and community insights.
- Oversee the expansion of Council’s Smart CCTV network and IoT technology for enhanced data gathering and community improvements.
- Manage data business intelligence programs to produce dashboards and reports for actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, test, and launch new concepts.
- Build partnerships with external stakeholders to leverage expertise and resources.
- Lead innovation and change management initiatives that drive workforce transformation for customer-centric service delivery.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Management, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary projects within the innovation or technology sector.
- Strong analytical skills (experience with Power BI and statistical analysis preferred).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a forward-looking approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Salary range: $151,010.96 to $ 169,132.40 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
