We deliver 29 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents. 

The role
CBCity has an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the People Transformation unit as a Learning Experience Designer. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of design principles and learning theories to design, develop and deliver engaging, effective and learner-centred experiences. This role leads the creation of learning experiences that build workforce capability at all levels, while collaborating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.

This position will be offered on a temporary full-time basis until October 2025.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Design and develop learner-centred experiences that align with industry best practices, adult learning principles, training policies and procedures, and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Design and develop training programs, learning resources, training aids, session plans, assessments, and evaluation tools to ensure relevance and effectiveness across a diverse and dispersed workforce.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end Learning and Development projects as required.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments to tailor content and delivery to specific audience needs.
  • Leverage e-learning software, multimedia tools and interactive technology (e.g. Articulate 360) to create relevant learning experiences.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Managers and the wider Learning and Development (L&D) team to co-create innovative and effective workforce learning solutions that support strategic goals and objectives.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Instructional Design, Adult Learning or related field.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent. 
  • Experience in instructional design, content development and training delivery, with a strong ability to create engaging, learner-centric programs.
  • Experience in transforming complex information into easy-to-understand blended learning solutions.
  • Proficiency in developing and using eLearning platforms and software.
  • Extensive experience in facilitating adult learning solutions in diverse settings.

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $101,423 (Grade H, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
