Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a Library Mobile Services Officer to join the Community, Culture and Libraries team. 

  • Permanent full time – 35 hours per week
  • Location - Moree
  • Attractive Salary starting at $66,528 up to $76,502 depending on qualifications and experience (PLUS Superannuation).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Library Mobile Services Officer will be responsible for the coordination and provision of a mobile service that delivers general customer, library and community development services to the Shire, to increase the opportunities for those who do not live in the Moree Town to access to Council Services.

Coordinate and lead the Library Outreach and Programs to develop and deliver support programs to targeted groups and provide access to library services. 

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications: 

  • Certificate IV in Library and Information Services/Cultural Services or relevant experience in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) or qualifications at Certificate level in Community Services or other relevant qualifications/experience.
  • Capacity to drive long distances and work remotely within MPSC and willingness and ability to undertake basic vehicle maintenance such as changing tyres if required.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised, working flexible hours as required including Saturday mornings on a roster basis.
  • Demonstrated ability to activate libraries with innovative and community inclusive programming
  • Demonstrable level of competence with Internet applications and digital technology (e.g. smart phones, tablets, laptops and e-readers) including STEM technology and Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
