What you need to know...

We are recruiting for multiple Library Support Officer (Circulation) positions: 

  1. Permanent Full Time
    70 hours per fortnight 
    Location - Grafton

  2. Permanent Part Time
    28 hours per fortnight (Monday & Thursday) 
    Location - Grafton

  3. Permanent Part Time
    42 hours per fortnight (Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays)
    Location - Yamba

All positions will enjoy: 

  • the package: $54,497 to $64,988 plus superannuation per annum, (prorata for the part time positions)

The Library Support Assistant (Circulation) role supports and engages in the delivery of an enjoyable library experience for all members and visitors of Clarence Valley Libraries.

The position works collaboratively with the Library team and across the Clarence Regional Service to develop and maintain Clarence Valley Libraries as an inclusive, accessible, and vibrant community destination.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

  • Address the essential criteria
  • Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.
  • Target questions - answer the  target questions - maximum 300 words each question
    Q1. Describe a situation when you were able to improve a relationship by communicating effectively. What made your communication effective?

    Q2. Give an example of a difficult customer service situation that you have dealt with. Describe how you managed the situation and what was the outcome.
    Q3. Give an example of how you have worked collaboratively with others in your current or previous role.

Other important information

These positions is located at either Grafton Regional Library or Yamba Regional Library, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
