About the Role
Based at Eastgardens Library, the successful candidate will provide support to staff and customers in accessing and using technology. With the assistance of the friendly and dynamic library team, you will contribute to the social inclusion, digital participation and lifelong learning opportunities for the Bayside Community.
You can also expect to;
- Collaborate with Council’s IT Team to ensure regular maintenance and upkeep of library systems and applications.
- Contribute to the delivery of library programs such as Tech Savvy for Seniors, Tech Help and Coding.
- Ensure library system’s data is kept up to date.
- Develop system user guides for staff and customers.
- Work on rostered desk shifts at all libraries including regular Saturdays, up to once every 4 weeks.
About You
We are looking for a someone who has:
- TAFE Diploma (AQF) in Library and Information Services
- Demonstrated experience in the use of library technology and applications
- Knowledge and experience in using IT devices and applications including, but not limited to, PCs, tablets, printers, and Microsoft application suite.
- Minimum 3 years (part-time or full-time) experience working in a library environment and using library systems.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service within a busy and dynamic environment.
- A current Working with Children Check Number
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C and/or willingness to travel between Bayside Library locations

Salary Range: $76,277.37 to $85,430.69 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation
