Management Accountant
Temporary Full-time Position until 27 March 2026!
Work-Life Balance with Flexible Working Arrangements (WFH Opportunities) and a Variable Day Off every 19 days.
Competitive Salary $100,946.04 - $117,316.16 per annum (Depending on skills and experience + 11.5% Superannuation)

The Opportunity

As a Management Accountant, you will:

  • Provide expert financial guidance - Support managers and staff with your financial expertise
  • Maximise & improve financial performance
  • Contribute to budget administration - Preparing and reviewing Councils budget in line with the Local Government Act provisions
  • Partner the senior management team and staff by providing financial information and advice
  • Drive financial improvements and ensure effective budgeting processes through collaboration

Reporting to Team Leader Management Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial expertise to support decision-making and enhance Wingecarribee Shire Councils financial performance.

What you need to succeed (Essential Criteria):

  • Qualification in Finance or Business (Accounting Major)
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role, including preparing and reviewing complex reconciliations and financial reports
  • Strong understanding of accounting policies, principles, and standards
  • Ability to collaborate across the organization to understand budgeting needs
  • Strong skills in spreadsheets and databases within Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check prior to starting
