Are you an experienced engineer, with contemporary knowledge and experience in development, consultation and implementation of asset and financial management plans? Then this is the role for you.

Upper Lachlan Shire Council has an opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as Manager Assets.

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, you will be responsible in managing the day to day operations and delivery programs within the Assets and Design department.

The Role

  • Is responsible for managing the operation of the Assets and Design department;
  • Leads the development, planning and programming of Council's Works Program and associated financial plan;
  • Facilitate principal activities of the Delivery Program and Operational Plan into plans, programs and projects to achieve identified key performance indicators (KPIs).

About You

  • You are a qualified motivated individual who is experienced in leading, supervising and managing a team;
  • You have experience in the asset management within a of multi-disciplinary organisation of a similar size and scope;
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning, cost estimation, design, programming and delivery of infrastructure works
  • You have the ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fit-for-purpose outcomes that drive the achievement of strategic goals
  • Your exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are second to none; and
  • You hold Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline with demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role.

This position is Grade 18 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award 2023. Council offers an attractive salary package, that is dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience of an applicant in an equivalent management role, $2088.38-2362.84 per week + 3.5% Civil liability (for engineers), plus 11.5% superannuation.
