Reporting to the Director Corporate, you will play a key role in ensuring Council's financial sustainability and strategic long term financial planning. You will oversee the maintenance and enhancement of strong financial systems and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation and provide expert advice to the senior management team on major policy areas and key issues of significance to Council.

The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organisation is an essential requirement of this role as is the ability to lead and inspire a dedicated team to achieve departmental and organisational goals, often under tight deadlines.

To be considered for this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in a relevant degree and be CPA/CA qualified, with demonstrated success in delivering local government financial services, including financial statements, management reporting, budgeting and long-term financial plans.
