About the Role
The Manager Healthy Communities is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the delivery of public health, local laws, and emergency management services throughout the Shire. This role ensures compliance with statutory obligations while fostering education, engagement, and community resilience.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Infrastructure and Environment, this role will lead initiatives such as the Domestic Wastewater Management Plan, Domestic Animal Management Plan, food safety and immunization programs, and the Municipal Emergency Management Plan. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative approach to building relationships with government bodies, agencies, and community stakeholders, ensuring that the Shire’s services enhance public health and safety.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a dynamic leader with extensive experience in public health, emergency management, or local government compliance. You will have a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering community resilience, and delivering high-quality services. Strong stakeholder management, legislative knowledge, and strategic planning skills are essential for this role.

Experience in a regional or local government setting will be highly regarded.
