Are you passionate about all things Infrastructure and Transport Planning? Do you have experience leading a team? We want to hear from you! The Hills Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager – Infrastructure and Transport Planning. The role is responsible to manage the provisions of capital works planning, roads asset management, infrastructure and transport planning and projects along with providing relevant advice to the organisation. The suitable candidate for this role will also lead and manage the team to deliver on services and initiatives specified in Council's strategic plan and operations program.
What this role looks like:
- Oversee and manage the Infrastructure and Transport Planning Team, in delivery of services, projects and initiatives specified in Council’s Strategic Plan and Operations Program.
- Oversee and manage the provisions of capital works planning, roads asset management, infrastructure and transport planning
- Develop, implement, coordinate and review standard operating procedures, projects, key initiatives and processes to improve the Infrastructure and Transport Planning Team.
- Maintain team engagement and facilitate a culture that reflects the corporate values.
- Provide high level strategic or specialised advice to council, senior management and/or other relevant parties.
- Proactively promote safety, compliance, reporting and abide by all WHS procedures, practices and policies
- Capture, review and regularly report performance data to senior management.
What are we seeking in our new team member:
Essential
- Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Town Planning, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
Desirable
- Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Nationally Recognised Training Qualification in a Management and/or leadership related field.

Competitive rates of pay starting at $241K per annum, pro-rata, (including superannuation, car allowance and engineering allowance), paid weekly, depending on skills and experience.
