Located on the Bogan River in Western NSW, Bogan Shire is one of the state’s most productive agricultural areas for wool, cattle and cropping enterprises as well as an expanded copper mine. The Shire has an estimated population of 2,500 with the main town of Nyngan providing access to a great range of services including an established network of medical services and amenities and educational facilities ranging from long daycare to tertiary.

Located at the junction of the Mitchell and Barrier highways, Nyngan offers a relaxed country lifestyle with excellent recreational and sporting facilities.

We have refocussed this role to primarily be responsible for fostering our positive team culture, building strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and leading the HR team to deliver high quality outcomes.

You are an ideal candidate if you are a capable natural leader, a creative and strategic thinker and a skilful communicator who can share their enthusiasm to deliver HR services that support and manage the employee lifecycle and staff engagement that builds our compelling Employee Value Proposition.

Ideally, you will have led a small HR team developing leadership and organisation development opportunities for our workforce of 120 staff and using digital HRM applications to deliver transactional HR services.

To attract a high calibre person, we are offering a very competitive remuneration package in the vicinity of $165,000 per annum including heavily subsidised housing and private use motor vehicle, flexible work arrangements, a very supportive work environment and a great rural lifestyle. You will work closely with, and be fully supported by, our General Manager and our Director, People and Community Services.

If you are looking for a rewarding chance to make a difference, shape organisational culture and lead People and Culture initiatives, with ample access to resources and executive leadership, then we want to hear from you.
