About the role and your team

  • Reporting to the and working with your team you will play a pivotal role in listening to Council, the community and stakeholders to clearly articulate what successful strategy execution looks like.
  • You apply your communication and influencing skills to translate strategy into actions and results.
  • Your team engages across the organisation to facilitate service reviews which ensure the organisation is set for success and is clear on what success means.

 About you

  • Leverage your strategic thinking skills and connections beyond the organisation to reimagine the future.
  • Ask insightful, open, solution focussed questions to identify opportunities for improvement and clear barriers to outcomes.

  • Have a track record of influencing across the business.
  • You will say what you mean and do what you say!

Snapshot of the role

A typical month will see you:

  • Brief the Executive Team on progress toward strategy delivery, opportunities identified for improvement and progress on a service review.
  • Celebrated successful achievement of a milestone with colleagues.
  • Undertake analysis which leads to an insightful conversation with organisational leaders.
  • Meet with stakeholders from government to discuss an advocacy matter important to the Canning community.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and development to your team members and celebrated their successes.
  • Meet with your colleague Managers to share information, solve problems and share your perspective.

The details

This position is offered as below:

  • Full time, 5-year maximum term basis.
  • Remuneration package negotiated with the successful candidate (including cash base, superannuation and provision for a motor vehicle).
  • 19-day month working arrangement.
  • Superannuation matching available.
  • Free gym membership to the Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes (gym, aquatics, sauna, group fitness).
  • Access to the “Thriving at Canning” Wellbeing program and active Social Club.
