About The Role

The Middleware/AI Specialist will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and maintaining AI-driven solutions and system integrations within the Council's technology infrastructure. This position supports the Council's growing demand for intelligent systems and data-driven automation, ensuring efficient workflows and improved customer experiences.

By collaborating with various stakeholders, the Middleware/AI Specialist will design and develop robust systems that align with enterprise standards while focusing on security and data protection measures.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Middleware/AI Specialist who possesses a strong blend of technical and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in AI development and machine learning.
  • Strong proficiency in back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, API development, and system integrations.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

In addition to technical expertise, we value a passion for continuous learning and creativity in finding new solutions. Candidates should demonstrate strong UI/UX design skills and a commitment to enhancing the overall customer experience.

  • Package: $104,345 - $122,876 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month flexitime arrangement.  Position is expected to be available for up to 2 years.
