About the Role
As part of our dedication to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning towards a net-zero future, we are seeking an experienced project officer with a background in community projects to join our team as a Net Zero Officer.
The role is seeking a dynamic delivery agent with proven delivery of programs and communication confidence to engage across both community and business to drive emissions reduction across the city.
About You
As a strong communicator and confident lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's efforts to achieve net zero targets for both Council operations and community. You will be engaging and collaborating closely with stakeholders and external partners, independently developing and driving programs and initiatives reducing our carbon emissions towards the city net-zero emissions targets.
In addition, you will have;
- have direct experience working and delivering real world projects within the environmental sustainability or climate change space
- be self-motivated and delivery focused, with strong project management skills
- experience in the design and delivery of corporate and community programs
- have ability to communicate, complex ideas for a variety of stakeholder groups with different levels of knowledge to achieve outcomes
- collaborate and drive outcomes of the Net Zero Pathway with cross-functional teams
- ability to prepare reports, submissions, and briefing papers on a wide variety of technical topics.
- hold a valid Australian Class C drivers’ licence
Your commencing annual salary will range from $83,901 to $96,179.41 + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
* Due to the nature of role this position is not suitable for students as it requires demonstrated experience in leading project and program design and delivery in the community and for business.
