About the opportunity

Our Blacktown City Information Centre is at the forefront of the Council's interface with its customers. We have multiple exciting opportunities for experienced Customer Service Officers to join as on call casuals.

This role will be responsible for providing high level customer service to customers requiring information regarding our products and services. We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining a highly competent team with a focus on providing high quality support and service to our customers through meeting and exceeding their needs.

You will be providing support to customers over the phone within the call centre and in person at the customer service counter. Council's hours of operation are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Your start and finish times will vary in accordance with our business needs.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Administrative qualifications or specialist skills training
  • A minimum of 12 months of customer service experience in either telephone or face-to-face enquiries in a high-volume area
  • Experience in various Computer applications.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Local Government.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $36.3203 per hour plus 25% casual loading
  • Casual working hours
