About the Opportunity

Cabonne Council has a permanent, full-time opportunity for
an experienced, collaborative and energetic human resource professional to join our organisation.

As the Safety, People and
Culture Coordinator, you will work with the Safety People and Culture team to support the equitable and professional delivery of a broad range of human resource functions including industrial
relations, recruitment, performance management and workforce planning. You will support the implementation and monitoring of programs
and initiatives that strengthen Council’s reputation as an Employer of Choice.

Reporting to the Department Leader Safety, People and Culture, you will have the opportunity to make this role
your own, whilst working collaboratively to build a culture that supports performance through continuous improvement and
application of best-practice approaches.

About You

This role is for a skilled human resource professional who has a passion for
developing and valuing our people to ensure we have the right people, with the
right skills, in the right positions to achieve our organisational mission of
being an “adaptive, resilient and performing organisation to create a
sustainable and desirable future for our communities”.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 5 years’ experience in human resources, preferably in a local government setting.
  • Previous experience with e-recruitment software and HR Management systems.
  • Ability to understand and interpret employment Awards and provide advice on employee entitlements.
  • Ability to resolve minor grievances.
  • Highly developed written communication skills and computing skills with demonstrated ability to prepare, draft and review relevant documents such as multifaceted letters, employment correspondence/contracts, complex spreadsheets, Gantt charts, reports, procedures, policies, flyers, multipage publications etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in influencing people, building effective relationships, and achieving positive outcomes including the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Experience using MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to discern priorities, plan, and coordinate with other staff to complete tasks.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Alcohol and Drugs Testing Accreditation, or a
    willingness to obtain.
  • Current and maintained NSW Driver’s Licence.

Remuneration and Benefits

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local
Government (State) Award 2023
and Cabonne Council’s policies and conditions
of employment.

The role offers an attractive annual salary range of $81,546 to $102,258 (gross) plus 11.5 per cent
superannuation.

The role offers a generous vehicle allowance.
