Location: Tamworth, NSW

To be successful in this role you will bring your existing engineering skills and experience to our team, and work with a team of experienced professionals to provide their community with a high quality road network. The role will provide opportunities to learn new skills and gain experience in broad range of engineering works.

You will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field, with proven experience in project planning and management, engineering design and environmental engineering.

The Operations Engineer is responsible for:

The planning and delivery of civil works, including sealed road reconstruction, stormwater drainage works and bridge repairs. This will require you to be dynamic and responsive, helping the team respond to natural disasters or other emergencies as they impact our road network. Other responsibilities include:

  • Management and financial control of various projects undertaken by the Division
  • Contract preparation and management
  • Assisting with the Division’s strategic planning, budget review and monitoring, estimating and programming of capital works
  • Provide technical support for Supervisors and other Technical staff

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications acceptable for membership to the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
  • OH&S Construction Induction Card
  • Driver Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role with 2 - 5 years practical experience

Salary range: Grade 19 - $108, 750.58 - $117, 673.11 per annum plus superannuation, plus civil liability allowance and leaseback vehicle for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
