Position Overview
The Painter (Graffiti Removalist) plays a crucial role in delivering effective graffiti removal services across Sutherland Shire’s assets. This position is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of both public and private properties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
Key responsibilities include executing the Graffiti Removal Program, delivering reactive maintenance, collaborating on graffiti initiatives, providing estimates for private property graffiti removal, and recommending products that enhance the longevity of coatings on various surfaces.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in painting and decorating, along with a commitment to safety and quality in all work conducted. You should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Trade Certificate in Painting & Decorating (Cert 3) required.
- Valid Class C driver's licence and WHS Construction Induction (White Card).
- Experience in documentation and reporting of graffiti incidents.
- Proven ability to estimate time and materials for projects accurately.
- Strong understanding of Work, Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Desirable qualifications include an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certificate, scaffolding certificate, working at heights certificate, asbestos awareness training, and confined spaces certification.

- Package: From $69,727 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight.
